Choose humility. Humility is intelligent self-respect. We can’t build a team if we’re selfish and focused on accomplishments, self-righteousness, or pride over learning. Prioritize the wisdom of learning from a situation over acting from a position of the ego.

  • Open to other’s opinions
  • Trust
  • Responsibility
  • Accountability
  • Self-reflection
  • Safe to make mistakes
  • Transparency - We might not know the whole or even correct answer but will share what we do know.

IT Respect Statement

We acknowledge that every employee, co-worker, and leader is thoughtful, creative, trustworthy, and capable and that our strength as a team is founded in the unique skills of each individual.

We understand that we will ALL make mistakes and that no one is infallible. Everyone is given the benefit of doubt; knowing that our decisions are made with best intentions but may not always turn out as planned.

Mistakes can be an opportunity to grow if we welcome them. They are proof that we are TRYING, and that we are human. Failures can make us smarter, teach us lessons, and enable us to let go of fear. They are the foundation of wisdom, innovation, and solutions.

Success is achieved through failure. Our team’s success depends on the individual to take responsibility for actions, words, behaviour and mistakes. To allow room for failure, from themselves and from others. To learn from any missteps through reflection, response and openness to feedback. To own their failure and project a path to their inevitable success.

We celebrate our mistakes and our failures as much as we celebrate our achievements. We celebrate each other. We are each supported during our hardships and challenges and give that same support to others, understanding that life’s challenges will impact work performance but that as a team, we will persevere and succeed.
