NVivo is software that supports qualitative and mixed methods research. It’s designed to help you organize, analyze and find insights in unstructured, or qualitative data like: interviews, open-ended survey responses, articles, social media and web content.
How do I request or access this service?
NVivo is available in the following areas on the Nanaimo Campus:
NVivo (Bldg 250-115,135, Bldg 315-112, Bldg 356-221,340, atrium, Bldg 305-508, Library Commons Desktops)
To have NVivo installed on your VIU owned computer please create an IT Service Request or email ITHelp@viu.ca. To speed up your request, please include your computer name with your request. NVivo is available for Windows or Mac operating systems.
How do I get help with this service?
NVivo workshops are periodically scheduled by the Scholarship, Research and Creative Activity Office. Check the bi-weekly SRCA Newsletter for details on upcoming workshops.

Support for this service is available: M-F 8:00 - 4:30
Service is available: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
